Biography:

Marc Lenglet is Associate Professor in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department. He graduated from ESSEC Business School in 2004. He holds a MSc in philosophy (Paris IV Sorbonne, 2002) and a PhD in Management (Paris Dauphine University, 2008.) He first held a position as a Compliance Officer in the banking and financial services industry (2003-2009) before joining the academia in September 2009. Since then, he has been working as an Assistant, then Associate Professor in Management at the European Business School (Paris). His research focuses on compliance, rules and norms, and how innovations impact regulatory practices within financial institutions. His work has been published in Comptabilité Contrôle Audit, Economy & Society, Organization, Research in the Sociology of Organizations and Theory, Culture & Society among others. He his the co-editor of The Making of Finance: Perspectives from the Social Sciences (Routledge, 2019), a book gathering contributions from researchers working within the social studies of finance tradition.
